Chris Deeter

Chris Deeter started playing viola at the age of 9. Her passion for orchestral instruments grew and she added violin to her repertoire at age 11.

After private lessons, Chris took her love for music a step further and joined Midwest Young Artists at age 13. From there, her classical training flourished and she participated in multiple chamber competitions and made first chair in the orchestra.

As her career grew, she played many prestigious venues such as The Lyrics Opera House, Millennium Park, Ravinia, and Northwestern College. For fun during her High School years, Chris played in two bands on electric violin. She eventually booked shows with her band at the Metro and Summerfest. After High School, Chris studied at DePaul University for viola performance under Rami Solomonow, world renowned violist. Now Chris has a passion for teaching classical violin, fiddle, rock, and country.
