Dave Krater

Dave Krater has been playing and studying the guitar for 31 years and teaching for over 16 years. He is an alumnus of The Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA where he earned a certificate of completion in the Musician's Institute's guitar program.

He is currently peforming with Deena Unplugged in and around the Chicagoland Area.

Dave has over 20 years of live experience and has released two independent CD's with the band Inner Sanctum which was voted one of the best unsigned acts of 1996 by Musicians Magazine.

He has had songs played on the Johnny Brandmeier Show on Chicago's The Loop FM 97.9, Chicago's Q101, Milwaukee's Lazer 103 and Madison's 94.1 WJJO. Additionally, Dave has appeared and performed on television on WGN's Channel 9 news program "Around Town" and the mid-day news with Steve Sanders, CBS Channel 2 program "Technogadgets" and ABC 7's news program "The Best of Chicago Shopping".

He has opened or performed with Michael Schenker, Molly Hatchet, Jackyl, Vince Neil, Big Wreck, Filter and Billy Sheehan.

Dave has been on staff as a full time teacher at The Academy for eight years.

Dave teaches all ages and abilities and is fluent in Rock, Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz, Blues, and Fingerstyle playing. He also teaches Mandolin and Classical Guitar.
